21 September 2023 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) is hosting a Development Workshop for Referees at the SAFA Technical Centre at Fun Valley this week.
The group began the workshop with fitness tests on Tuesday, 19 September 2023 and have been attending their theory sessions throughout the week under the watchful eyes of SAFA Head of Referees Abdul Ebrahim and Ms Dawn Lubisi.
Paulo Marques and Taolo Semelane headed the Technical side of officiating while Refilwe Tshigeng, Brian Sibisi and Bongumusa Ngwenya oversaw the fitness elements.
They have been working on the changes in the Laws of the game, physical assessments and integrated sessions, along with group assignments.
The workshop will conclude on 22 September 2023 after final examinations are written.
