29 August 2023 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced that Orlando Stadium, in Soweto, Johannesburg, will host Bafana Bafana’s two international friendly matches against Namibia and DR Congo next month.
Coach Hugo Broos’ charges host Namibia on 9 September 2023 (kick off is at 15h00) and DR Congo on 12 September (17h00) in matches that are part of the preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire in January next year, and for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November.
Broos named a 36-member preliminary squad for the two international friendly matches a few days ago and will trim it to 23 players on Wednesday 30 August 2023 when he announces his final list.
The tickets for the two Bafana Bafana games are sold at all TicketPro outlets, including selected Total Energies garages, Sasol Garages, Caltex and Power Fashion. They will be sold at R50 all around.
