15 August 2023 – SAFA Vice President Linda Zwane led a delegation that met with Mpumalanga MEC of Education Bonake Majuba, members of the provincial government and other stakeholders on Tuesday to discuss a number of exciting programs for the province in the near future.
The meeting, held in Mbombela, resolved to have a task team set up between SAFA, the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Sport and Recreation
The MEC of Education appreciated the SAFA program in the province and committed to work with the Association. The two departments have also promised to declare Wednesdays as sporting days, and this project will be rolled out from next week.
Besides the SAFA Vice President, the other attendees were, SAFA Mpumalanga Provincial Chairperson Litheko Marago, SAFA Mpumalanga Deputy Provincial Chairperson Kaizer Sibanyoni, SAFA Mpumalanga PEO Bevan Mahlangu, SAFA Mpumalanga School’s Football Chairperson Simon Mashabela, and SAFA Technical Director Walter Steenbok among others.
