15 November 2021 – The University of Western Cape continued their good run in the Hollywoodbets Super League in which they have chalked up some impressive results of late. They maintained their fine run this weekend with another inspiring 3-0 win over hosts Golden Ladies in scorching Mafikeng on Sunday afternoon.

National team player, Sibulele Holweni was the star of the show on Sunday, scoring a brilliant brace and duly walked away with the Player of the Match award.

The Western Cape side has recently put together a streak of remarkable wins and they are not letting up.

In other matches, JVW hammered the University of Johannesburg 6-0 in the biggest win of the weekend while Richmond United’s Nthabiseng Majiya continued her great scoring run, scoring two goals in her side’s 4-1 win over Thunderbirds.
Majiya is currently the top goalscorer with 20 goals to her name and she seems to be running away with the leading goal-scorer award.

First Touch Academy suffered their second consecutive defeat after losing 3-0 to Coal City Wizards while Tshwane University of Technology cemented their second position with a hard fought 2-1 win over Ma-Indies Ladies.

Bloemfontein Celtic shared the spoils with Durban Ladies after the two sides played to a 1-1 draw.
