14 November 2020 – Bafana Bafana arrived in the Nelson Mandela Bay on Saturday afternoon to start preparations for the second Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome on Monday.
Kick off 15h00.
The South Africa Senior Men’s National Team outsmarted the visitors 2-0 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban on Friday night and will be looking for the same if not better outcome on Monday.A second successive win for Molefi Ntseki’s boys will inch them closer to the AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
Bafana Bafana touched the Windy City by lunchtime and were in high spirits, showing little signs of fatigue as they were greeted by some gusty winds upon arrival. After lunch and a short rest, it was back to some serious work as they went through the regeneration process at pitches outside the match venue.
Coach Ntseki said he wanted to take it easy on Saturday before wrapping up preparations on Sunday afternoon. There are no fresh injuries and homeboy, Kermit Erasmus who missed Friday’s win, joined the rest of the team in the regeneration excercises.
After struggling to break down Sao Tome in the first half, Bafana Bafana were a rejuvenated side in the second half and with a bit of luck, could easily have massacred the retreating visitors. They will go into Monday’s game favorites to repeat where they left off on Friday.
