8 March 2019 –The South African Football Association (SAFA) is in mourning following the passing of the former Tygerberg LFA President in Cape Town, Les Randle.
The retired 86-year old football administrator passed on this past Tuesday (5 March 2019), and will be buried in Clermont, Cape Town on 12 March 2019.
SAFA’s Acting CEO, Russell Paul, passed his condolences to the Randle family, adding that the football family lost a true gentleman who was passionate about the sport.
“I would like to convey my sincere condolences to the Cape Town Tygerberg Football Family, as well as the family of Les, a stalwart of the game,” Paul said.
“We had many of a football battle in our days, but all ended up well in the pub afterwards (even though I did not drink) at whichever venue we found ourselves together.
“He will be sorely missed and may his soul rest in peace.”
