26 June 2018 – Even though they occupy third position, Golden Ladies are the team to beat this season in the North West Sasol League. Ladies have won all 10 of their matches and are just three points behind log leaders, Royal Queens who have played two extra games as the season draws closer to its half way mark.
Ladies were not in action this past weekend but put up a sterling performance on youth day with a comfortable 2-0 victory at home when they hosted De Scorpio while in the previous week, they thumped ALS PUK Tawana 4-1, keeping pressure on the log leaders who have only lost one match this seas at the hands of ALK PUK Tawana.
Queens were given a scare last week when Rustenberg Ladies almost got away with a point in a thrilling 2-1 encounter that went the way of Queens.
Some interesting match ups are lined up for this weekend with the pick of the weekend being second placed Tawana taking on Queens United who are high on confidence following their 2-0 win over Gopane Ladies on Youth Day.
Royal Queens travel to North West University with the hosts looking to climb up the ladder as they look to continue from where they left off after their 5-0 thrashing of We Can Ladies.
