18 November 2017 – The South African Women’s U20 National Team (Basetsana) take on the Swallows of Burundi this afternoon at the Dobsonville Stadium at 15h00 in the second leg of round two of 2018 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup qualifiers.
South Africa are on the back foot against Burundi, having conceded two away goals in the first leg and will need to ensure that while they keep the back door shut, they convert their chances in order to progress to the third round of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Interim Head Coach Maud Khumalo believes that although they are mentality ready for the encounter, it will be important for the ladies to convert their chances.
“We have had a good week in training with all the ladies looking hungry to start the match tomorrow. We have done a lot of video analysis and have worked on our finishing throughout the week;” said Khumalo .
Entry to the Dobsonville Stadium will be free of charge and fans are urged to come out in their number and show their love for Basetsana.
