The draw for the last 32 Nedbank Cup representatives took place on Thursday evening in which five ABC Motsepe League sides and three SAB League clubs will fight it out against their more illustrious opponents.

SAB League side Mariveni United from Limpopo will have one of the hardest tasks as they were drawn against reigning African Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns while Days FC of the Free State will host First Division side Mbombela United.

Mariveni United owneer Tsakani Hlungwani believes that playing against Mamelodi Sundowns will bring great exposure for the boys regardless of the result.

“We are excited about the draw and playing Sundowns who are African Champions is any player’s dream. We should give it a big shout and we won’t be like lamb to slaughter.

However, our prime aim we need to derive from this encounter is exposure and experience; it will be priceless and useful going forward,” said Hlungwani.

The Northern Cape’s United Rovers will have to fight it out against Jomo Cosmos while ABC Motsepe side KwaDukuza United will host Ajax Cape Town in what promises to be an exciting encounter. Bees FC from the Eastern Cape will host Orlando Pirates on a date yet to be confirmed.

Buya Msuthu FC from the North West will host Bloemfontein Celtics and Mpumalanga’s Acornbush United face Cape Town FC.

African All Stars from Gauteng will visit Premier Soccer League side Polokwane City.

The rest of the draw is as follows:

Platinum Stars vs AmaZulu FC, FC Cape Town vs Baroka FC, Free State Stars vs Highlands Park, Cape Town All Stars vs Bidvest Wits, Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Maritzburg United, Royal Eagles vs SuperSport United, Stellenbosch United vs Kaizer Chiefs.
