7 March 2024- The South African Football Association (SAFA) in partnership with Hollywood Foundation, visited Motswarakgole Primary School, in Kuruman, Northern Cape on Thursday morning as part of the #BackToSchoolFY24 campaign.

The primary school was gifted with soccer balls, school uniform and shoes for less privileged.

The campaign is an initiative from the Hollywood Foundation alongside the South African Football Association. The idea is to get more children involved in football at a grassroots level.

“We are very happy to have visited this primary school and see all the smiles on these young kids faces,” SAFA Head of Events and Competitions, Moremi Klip.

“We as SAFA believe in football development and it starts at grassroot level, so we are happy that we can assist the less privileged in the best way we can, through football,” concluded Klip.

Hollywood Foundation will continue with this campaign throughout the Provinces in identified schools.

“Education is the key to unlocking the full potential of our youth, and the ‘Back to School’ campaign, is a testament to our commitment to empowering the next generation. Through the school supplies drive, we look forward to positively setting the academic scene by ensuring that each child is provided with uniform and stationery and to further alleviate the emotional stress weighing on parents, fostering a community where education is a beacon of hope and opportunity.” Said Vuyisile Ngobese, Hollywood Foundation PR Officer.
