26 September 2023 – The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) Technical department began visits of the provinces this past weekend when they travelled to Witbank, Mpumalanga to discuss matters affecting the different regions.
The agenda of the visit touched on the SAFA Technical Strategy, Academies, the Technical Development Scheme for both girls and boys, youth development, Women’s Football and Compliance.
SAFA Technical Director Walter Steenbok presented to the panel in attendance at the TUT Emalahleni campus, and said the SAFA Head Office will work much closer with the regions to ensure that South African football reaches its intended vision.
The visits will continue this coming weekend when the Technical department travels to Polokwane, Limpopo, before moving to Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape and the Free State.
