25 September 2023 – The leadership of SAFA Gauteng has fired back at claims that there is disunity in the province.
SAFA Gauteng chairperson Pius Nqandela and SAFA Ekurhuleni Region President Job Mchunu have strongly dismissed the claims and said they are part of a long-running campaign by faceless individuals who are trying to manufacture negativity within South African football.
“As the leadership of Gauteng Province, we totally distance ourselves from these reports and reject them in their totality. We are not confused, Mr Nqandela is the chairperson of the Province and Job Mchunu is the Vice chairperson,” Mchunu.
“The leadership of SAFA Gauteng is forever united, our football programmes and events speak volume. These are the works of the detractors who are trying to divide and derail us,” said Nqandela.
