14 June 2021 – JVW Ladies failed to take advantage of the postponed Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies game as they missed a golden opportunity to go top of the Hollywoodbets Super League log on Saturday, 12 June 2021 after losing 2-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies.
It was a shock result but also goes to show how competitive the HSL is becoming.

While Bloemfontein is proving a tricky destination, Durban Ladies traveled to De Aar where they beat the home 3-2 in a high-scoring encounter and their first win of the season.
The University of the Western Cape kept their good run with a 3-0 victory over Tsunami Queens in Harrismith while Ma-Indies Ladies thrashed Golden Ladies 4-0 in Giyani. Eastern Cape’s Thunderbirds Ladies were held to a goalless draw by Coal City Wizards.
The clash of the varsities on Sunday, 13 June 2021 saw Tshwane University of Technology Ladies steal the three points from the University of Johannesburg with a last gasp goal scored by Gabonnelwe Kekana in referee’s optional time.
