7 February 2020 –Third-placed Bloemfontein Celtic will attempt to do what no other team has done in the SAFA National Womens League – inflict a defeat on Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies in this inaugural season of the league.
The two giants will battle it out at the Chloorkop Grounds on Sunday, 8 February in the much-anticipated high-profile fixture of the weekend.
After 16 outings, Sundowns still leads the league table with 48 points, while Celtic has amassed 36 after 17 games – the former is yet to lose or draw a match.
In other fixtures, second-placed TUT will be away to a resurgent Durban Ladies, who are in seventh place after a slow start. The clash takes place at the SJ Smith Stadium.
TUT is four points behind Sundowns and have played one game more than the log leaders.
Ninth-placed Golden Ladies will host bottom of the table Richmond Ladies at the Montshiwa Stadium.
First Touch Academy, who are in fourth place, welcomes Thunderbirds Ladies at the Seshego Stadium, while fifth-placed Coal City Wizards will face Tsuname Queens at the Witbank Rugby Stadium.
The clash of the Universities – Western Cape and Johannesburg – will take place at the University of Western Cape Stadium.
The hosts are eighth on the table, with the visitors occupying position six.
All the matches will be played on Sunday, 8 February.
Kickoff at 15h00, except for the clash between Durban Ladies and TUT, which starts at 13h00.
