14 October 2019 – President of the South African Football Association (SAFA), Dr Danny Jordaan, has congratulated Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki and his charges for the 2-1 win over Mali in the Nelson Mandela Challenge played on Sunday, 13 October at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
This was Ntseki’s first assignment in charge of the South African Senior Men’s National Team, which Dr Jordaan described as the dawn of a new era.
Dean Furman and substitute Themba Zwane grabbed the goals for Bafana Bafana in front of a crowd of just over 18-thousand fans.
Next month, South Africa takes on Ghana and Sudan in the start of the Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
