2 April 2019 – Banyana Banyana goalkeeper Kaylin Swart believes the side has what it takes to beat Jamaica in the international friendly match scheduled for Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, 7 April 2019.

Kickoff for the clash is 15h00.

Swart and the Sasol-sponsored squad are hard at work to be ready for this historic fixture which pits two FIFA Women’s World Cup debutants in their first ever meeting.

The Port Elizabeth-born player says they learnt a lot from the Cyprus Women’s Cup and will need to rectify some of the mistakes they committed at the tournament early last month. Swart is one of Banyana Banyana that featured at the 2010 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, together with Jermaine Seoposenwe, and will be working hard to make the final cut for France in June.

Two other players in the squad, youngsters Sibulele Holweni and Karabo Dlamini, got their World Cup experience at the 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.

Entry to the match between Banyana Banyana and Jamaica, who arrived in Durban on Tuesday (2 April), are free and can be collected from Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers.
