21 February 2019 – Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana held their first training session in Johannesburg today (Thursday, 21 February 2019) to start preparations for the 2019 Cyprus Women’s Cup.
All 23 selected players have already reported for national team duty, and will have two more training sessions in South Africa before departing on Saturday, 23 February to Cyprus.
Banyana Banyana have been drawn against Finland, Czech Republic and Korea DPR at the tournament, which is being used to get ready for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup scheduled to be played in France from 7 June to 7 July.
