13 July 2018 – North West Sasol League table toppers, Royal Queens are still enjoying a healthy 6-point lead at the top as the season edges closer to its half way mark. A little worrying factor for Queens will be the fact that De Scorpio are just two wins away from being on the same points as them (36) having played two games less.
The two sides meet this weekend in a top of the table clash and anything less than a win for either side could prove to be detrimental in their title ambitions.
ALS PUK Tawana are also breathing heavily down their necks with a game to spare on 30 points and could reduce it to a three point gap should they overcome Bianca Academy this weekend.
Golden Ladies have an easy task this weekend and could see themselves in third position should things go their way when they welcome The Bold and the Beautiful in what should be a walk in the park against the 12th placed side. The Champs are also away to Florentia and will be hoping to secure a win to move away from the dreaded axe. Champs are second from the bottom with just three points from 13 matches and are coming up against a Florentia side that has won five out of 11 and looking at climbing up the ladder.
Florentia’s 2-2 draw where they dropped two vital points against Bianca Academy will be something they hope to forget in order to collect all three at hand.
