13 February 2018 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) in conjunction with South African Breweries (SAB) is conducting a week-long coaching workshop at the High Performance Centre in Tshwane from 12 -17 February 2018, where 52 coaches from SAFA Regions will get coaching certificates.
SAFA Coaching Instructors as well as SAB Coaching Course graduate, Thabo Senong will facilitate the workshop. Senong who is head coach of the SA U20 National Team, Amajita, believes such courses are a win-win situation for coaches and the country at large. The Amajita coach said the country was mainly benefiting from the relationship between SAFA and SAB.
“Several coaches from all of our 52 SAFA Regions are participating in this Skills Development Workshop which is a huge part of SAFA’s Vision 2022. This is a very vital workshop in the sense that all participants will be involved in a D-License five-day workshop,” said Senong.
“I am excited to see a new generation of coaches because I too come from these structures. I believe the future of our football is very bright and that these coaches will bring something exciting to the field of play,” added Senong.
