18 July 2017 – Kanatla Ladies from the Limpopo region are not Champions yet, but they certainly proving to be favourites following their impressive run of form. The Limpopo based side are unbeaten in eight matches and it was the order of the day on Saturday when they travelled to Ga Malekana to take on Seven Star, walking away with a comfortable 3-0 win.
In stream B, Ma-Indies are proving to be just as ruthless, with a seven-match unbeaten run of their own. They registered a narrow 1-0 win away to Sisters Ladies to stretch their lead by eight points, with second placed Shayandima Morning Star on thirteen points.
Palace Super Falcon returned to the top of the standings in the Gauteng region following a 5-1 win over Nicko Taurus at Scongweni Sports Field on Saturday afternoon. The Tembisa-based side are on 43-points, just a couple of points above Mamelodi Sundowns who have a game in hand. Masandawana kept pressure on Palace with an emphatic 16-0 win over Pull Together at the Phillip stadium.
In KwaZulu-Natal, the fight for dominance has intensified between Sunflower FC and Remax Shooting Stars as both teams are garnering momentum at the right time. The latter who are in second position with two games in hand maintained pressure on their rivals with a clinical 7-0 win at Nxamalala Ladies. Sunflower maintained their top spot with a 4-2 win over Ducks Ladies to move to 29-points, just a single point above Stars.
The top positions in both stream A and B of the Mpumalanga region remain unchanged as Nkomanzi Ladies and Coal City Wizards exert their dominance. Nkomanzi maintained their lead in stream B with a 3-1 win over TK Stars Ladies moving them to 19-points from the eight matches they’ve played.
De’Scorpion maintained pressure on North West leaders, Titans with a 4-0 win over Platinum Arsenal Ladies. The Tswelelang-based-side are in second spot on 28 -points from the 12 matches they have played with two games in hand. Titans meanwhile kept their slender lead at the top with a hard-fought 2-0 win over the Bold & The Beautiful at the Royal Bafokeng Sport ground on Saturday.
