Exciting photo finish in various SAB Leagues across the country

The chasing pack in the Ekurhuleni SAB League region closed in on the title race after leaders dropped points in the recent round of fixtures.

Leaders Tembisa Sports Centre saw their lead at the top trimmed after they were held to a gruelling 1-1 draw by Highlands Park FC on home soil on Saturday, 22 April 207.

The draw saw second placed Luso Africa cut Tembisa’s lead from seven to five points after they thumped Benoni Sports Academy 4-0.

XI Eperience and Ekurhuleni FC, who sit in third and fourth respectively clashed on Sunday, with the former claiming a 1-0 win. Both sides sit on 54 points, six points behind Tembisa.

Highlands Park are still among the chasing pack despite their draw with Tembisa FC as they sit in fifth spot, eight adrift of the leaders.

In Ethekhwini region Stream A, Amanzimtomi Academy sit on top of the table with 11 points ahead of second placed Damini Juventus.

There are only four matches remaining in stream A and Amanzimtomi look well on course to win the title.

In Stream B things are little more tighter heading into the closing stages of the campaign after leaders FC Simba were held to a 2-2 draw by Amaqadi on Sunday which allowed Real Juvelona FC to close the gap to three points after thumping Knockers FC 8-1 on the same day.

Kranskop City who sit in third spot have an outside chance of clinching top spot as they are seven points behind the leaders.

Meanwhile in stream C, Newlands United have already won top spot with one game to go as they are nine points ahead of second place KZN Academy FC.
