Amajita coach Thabo Senong has asked the Bloemfontein football fans to come in their thousands and support the u20 team when they take on Lesotho in the second leg of the 3rd and final round of the CAF African Youth championship qualifier.
The match will take place at Dr Petrus Molemela stadium on Saturday, 23 July and will kick off at 15h00.
“As far as match preparations are concerned, we have done everything expected of us but the 12th player, which are the supporters are priceless. I call upon football fans of Bloemfontein to come in their numbers and give the boys the support,” said coach Senong.
Amajita who are bankrolled by Burger King lead Lesotho 2-0 from the first leg which took place two weeks ago in Maseru and Senong said while they are enjoying a two-goal cushion, football has a funny way of kicking you in the back if you take things for granted.
“We are not going to sit back and think because we have a two-goal advantage we are home and dry. Things don’t work like that in football. We need to grind out another good win on Saturday,” emphasised the rising youthful coach.
Leftback Kanalelo Motsoeneng said they were ready for Lesotho and if they keep their feet on the ground, they will chalk another impressive victory.
He was supported by midfielder, Teboho Mokoena who said nothing, even a tsunami would stop this Amajita side from qualifying for the championships in Zambia next year.
Kamohelo Sithole a rising star from Orlando Pirates asked the public to come in numbers and assured them they would not be disappointed.
“This match is to celebrate Amajita’s qualification for the CAF Youth championships in Zambia. We want to celebrate with the Bloemfontein people; so come and see the u20 do the country proud,” said Mokoena
