The South African u23 Men’s National Team (SA Olympic Team), arrived in Maceio, in the state of Alagoas, Brazil on Thursday afternoon after a long-winded flight that started at OR Tambo on Wednesday evening through Sao Paulo to the final destination.

The South African u23 Men’s National Team (SA Olympic Team), arrived in Maceio, in the state of Alagoas, Brazil on Thursday afternoon after a long-winded flight that started at OR Tambo on Wednesday evening through Sao Paulo to the final destination.

The squad landed at Brazil’s biggest city in the early hours of Thursday, 24 March 2016 and connected 2 hours later to their destination.

European-based Lebogang Mothiba, Lebogang Phiri and Kgosietsile Ntlhe joined the team in Sao Paulo and travelled alongside the rest of the squad to Maceio.

Da Gama’s charges will face the Brazilians in an international friendly match on Sunday, 27 March 2016 at Rei Pele Stadium.

The match will kick off at 18h30 local time (SA 00h30).

The Olympic team will rest for the remainder of Thursday but get down to business on Friday as they continue preparations for Sunday’s clash.
