20 September 2024 – The second edition of the U15 TDS Interprovincial tournament got underway at Panorama Football Club in Honeydew this morning where the nine provincial boys teams played their first two opening matches of the tournament.

The second edition saw many shocks as teams that would normally dominate tournament such as Gauteng and the Western Cape were challenged in this year’s encounters.

The Northern Cape will be proud of their first two matches as they managed to get 3 points against the Western Cape in their second match of the day.

The Free State provincial team displayed some great talent but could not manage a victory in their two matches, while the North West was adamant to bring back its glory days with a sweet victory over Gauteng.

The Talent Development Scheme (TDS) U15 Interprovincial Tournament is playing in its second year for scouts to identify players from different province, while the football association is actively aging its role in giving all Talent a chance to showcase their abilities.

Day Two of the Boy’s edition will see the last round of group matches, with semi-finals and a final to be played.

A pool of 23 players will be identified to fall into the database of the Association and may go on to join the SAFA Academy in 2025.
