22 May 2023 –The University of Pretoria recorded their best win of the season on Sunday when they beat bottom-of-the-table MaIndies Ladies 7-0 during an action-packed weekend of the Hollywoodbets Super League.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies remain top of the standings after beating the University of Johannesburg 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in a very entertaining match at the UJ Soweto Campus.
The other two matches played on Sunday produced draws as Copperbelt Ladies came back from behind to snatch a point against City Lads in a 2-2 draw. TS Galaxy and First Touch also shared the spoils after they played to a goalless draw in Mpumalanga.
Durban Ladies were on a mission as they travelled to Witbank on Saturday afternoon and they delivered a 4-2 win over struggling Coal City Wizards. In another match, the University of the Western Cape returned to winning ways after beating JVW Ladies 2-0 in Cape Town.
Royal AM collected maximum point in East London as they hammered Thunderbird 3-0, while Richmond United suffered a 0-2 loss to the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria.
