14 March 2023 – SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan has lauded Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopane Motsepe for enrolling for the D License Coaching Course.
Dr Jordaan said this will give Motsepe insight into the technical aspect of the game.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions’ boss is among 37 coaching aspirants who are attending the D License Coaching Course taking place at Germiston Stadium in Ekurhuleni.
Dr Jordaan, who is in Kigali, Rwanda, for the FIFA Congress, said other club owners can take a leaf off Motsepe’s book and enlist as coaches to have a knowledge of the technical side of the game.
‘’The Mamelodi Sundowns chairman has shown the way because the modern game has evolved so much that club owners need to take an informed decision with regards to coaching matters, which is the core business of any club,’’ said Dr Jordaan.
The D License, according to SAFA Ekurhuleni President Job Mchunu, started last Saturday (11 March 2023) with the graduation ceremony scheduled for 1 April.
