25 October 2022 – World football governing body FIFA have announced the dates and times for the Women’s World Cup to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand next year.

The Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana will be based in New Zealand and get their campaign underway against Sweden on 23 July 2023 at 17:00pm (06:00am RSA time) at the Wellington Regional Stadium.

Coach Desiree Ellis’ charges then face Argentina five days later (28 July) at the Dunedine Stadium at 12:00pm (01:00am RSA time) and round off the group stages against Italy on 2 August at 19:00pm (08:00am) at Wellington Stadium.
