21 October 2022- Limpopo side Copperbelt Ladies will face TUKS Ladies in the final of 2022 Sasol League National Championship Playoffs at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday 23 October 2022 after the two sides survived tricky semi-finals on Friday to set up their date.

The home side confirmed their place in the final after beating NWU Tawana 2-1 in the first semi-final of the day. Nomphelo Yakuphi scored a brace for the Limpopo side while Lerato Adams managed the consolation strike for NWU Tawana.

In the second semi-final of the day, TUKS Ladies needed the lottery of the penalties before finally overcoming Lindelani Ladies 4-2 after a tense shootout.

The closely-contested match had ended 1-1 during regulation time after Anele Miya opened the scoring midway into the first half. But Gugu Dhlamini equalised through a brilliant individual effort to level matters.

It was left up to the shoot-out to decide matters and TUKS Ladies held their nerve to set up their final date against home side Copperbelt Ladies.      

The two finalists have a lot to play for as the grand prize of R200 000 will be up for grabs, while the runner-up will pocket R100 000.

In addition to the prize money that is at stake, the two teams have also been promoted to the Hollywoodbets Super League for the 2023 season.

The final will be played at 14h30 on Sunday 23 October 2022, and will be broadcasted live on SABC 3 and Channel 124 on Openview.
