18 October 2022 – The identity of the sides that will face South Africa’s representatives in the second preliminary round of the 2022-2023 CAF Confederation Cup were revealed after the draw was conducted on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt.

Royal AM will face TP Mazembe, Marumo Gallants tackle Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya, while Cape Town City will battle USM Alger.

The first leg will be played on 2 November 2022, while the second leg is scheduled for 9 November. These are crucial matches as places in the group stage of the 2022-2023 CAF Confederation Cup will be on the line.
