18 October 2022 – Day one of the 2022 Sasol League National Playoffs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium saw Lindelani Ladies from KwaZulu-Natal register a big win in the opening match of the week-long event as they hammered Northern Cape’s Royal Wizards 6-0

A hat-trick from Zethembiso Vilakazi, a goal from captain Londeka Gumede and further strikes from Anele Miya and substiture Mandisa Faya gave the KZN youngsters a comfortable win. 

TS Galaxy had to dig deep to come back from two goals down in the second match of the day as they drew 2-2 with Western Cape’s Dangerous Heroes Ladies. 

An Anelisa Makeleni brace saw Dangerous Heroes take the lead, but Mamphashe Popela brought Galaxy back into the match before Rennika Khoza helped secure the point for her side with the late equalizers. 

AmaTuks came out guns blazing in their match against Sophakama FC from the Eastern Cape in the last match of the day as they dominated play from the first whistle. 

The Gauteng-based side were 2-0 up at halftime with goals from Sinamile Mkhwanazi and Wendy Shongwe. They went on to win that encounter 3-0 after Wendy Shongwe put the final nail in the coffin. 

Day 2 of the Sasol League National playoffs on Wednesday will host another three matches in Polokwane. TS Galaxy Ladies will host Copperbelt Ladies of Limpopo in the 9am match, Tuks Ladies will take on Central University of Technology from the Free State at 12h30. 

Royal Wizards will have to big deep when they take on NWU Tawana FC from North West in the last match of the day at 15h30.
