22 July 2022 – South African senior national women’s team coach Desiree Ellis’ star continues to soar after she was named as Africa’s Coach of the Year in the women’s football category during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards in Morocco on Thursday (21 July 2022) night.

It was a third CAF Coach of the Year Award for the dazzling mentor.  Ellis has been at the top of her game for a long time now and will be quietly plotting her next move in Saturday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON)  final between the SASOL-sponsored Banyana Banyana and hosts Morocco at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat to cap yet another memorable year.
