11 February 2022 – City Lads Ladies and Vasco da Gama will battle it out for this year’s Sasol League National Championship title after both reached the final in dramatic fashion.
The finalists for the 2021 Sasol League National Championships were confirmed on Friday at King Zwelithini Stadium in which both teams played exciting football.
Apart from reaching the Sasol League national Championships final, both sides who, by virtue of qualifying for the finals, will play in the women’s premier league, the Hollywood Bets Super League.
City Lads FC from the Eastern Cape broke the locals hearts when they beat Lindelani Ladies 3-2 with the winning goal coming right at the death.

Nandipha Booi was the star of the show as she scored a scintillating hat-trick for her fighting side.
The second semi-final was rather physical and ended 1-1 in normal time but Vascos Da Gama outwitted Croesus Ladies in a dramatic penalty shoot-out, eventually winning 4-3.
While both teams have been promoted into the Hollywoodbets Super League, they will now be hunting for bragging rights as Sasol League National Champions, and the R200 000 prize money.
The runner up of the final will walk away with R100 000.
The final will be played at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, 13 February 2022. The match will be live on SABC 3 and Channel 124 on Openview.
