31 August 2021 –The Hollywoodbets Super League clubs scored a total of 49 goals between 14 -29 August 2021 as league sponsors Hollywoodbets concluded their CSI campaign for Women’s month.
Each of the 14 clubs were given R5000 to kick-start their campaign and an additional R1000 was added for each goal scored for the duration of the campaign.
JVW Ladies were the biggest winners of the month having scored 16 goals during the campaign to secure a whopping R21 000 for their NPO. Having scored 14 goals during the campaign, they added another two during an impressive 2-0 win over Ma-Indies Ladies on Saturday, 28 August 2021 at Tsakane Stadium.
Champions and log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who did not participate in the last week of the campaign, secured R13 000, while Tshwane University of Technology will pledge R11 000 to a charity organisation of choice after beating the University of the Western Cape 2-0 on 28 August 2021. UWC also made R 8 000 for Women’s Month.
Coal City Wizards who displayed some good football against Tsunami Queens on Sunday, 29 August 2021 with their 3-0 victory, secured R10 000 while Queens pocketed R6 000, the same amount that was won by the likes of the University of Johannesburg, Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies and Ma-Indies Ladies.
Thunderbirds Ladies and First Touch Academy secured R8 000 each. Richmond United secured R7 000 from 2 goals they scored during the campaign while Durban Ladies and Golden Ladies failed to score any goals during the campaign to come in last with a tally of R5000 each.
