17 July 2021 – Dr. Danny Jordaan SAFA (South African Football Association) President has sent well wishes from Casablanca, Morocco to the national men’s football team who have earned their place in this year’s edition of the Cosafa Cup.

“Good luck to Bafana Bafana in Gqeberha. The team are well aware that I stand by them, believe in them and know that they will continue doing the country proud as they have done throughout the tournament,” said an elated President.

Having had to travel for the CAF Champions league final between Kaizer Chiefs and Al Ahly the President will not be present but visited the team prior to his departure, to share with them the platform of opportunity that SAFA will continue to offer.

“These young players have earned their place in the national team. They are all greatly talented and what they do with their call up is up to them. They are the captains of their future and SAFA will continue to offer them a place to showcase their skill, for the world to see,” said Dr. Jordaan who is at the edge of his seat with attention given to both finals.

Bafana remain unbeaten in their quest to conquer.

They managed 1-0 win against Botswana and Eswatini, beat Lesotho 4-0, drew 0-0 against Zambia to earn their spot in the semi-finals against Mozambique whom they beat 3-0.

They take on Senegal in the final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday at 15h30.
