24 June 2021 – Due to strict Covid-19 regulations, the upcoming ABC Motsepe national playoffs scheduled to kick off on Monday, 28 June 2021 will be played behind closed doors.

This means spectators, members of the media and scouts are strictly prohibited from attending the play-offs.

This year’s national play-offs will take place in Nelspruit from 28 June – 3 July 2021 where two teams to reach the final will be promoted into the National First Division (NFD).

‘’Due to Covid-19 regulations enforced by the national government, we will play the ABC Motsepe national play-offs behind closed doors and have 100 people maximum in the stadium.

‘’We therefore can only accommodate the two clubs playing at the time, medics and the local organising committee (LOC) which include SAFA media,’’ said SAFA CEO, Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe.

‘’We are aware that the national plays-offs always evoke national interest especially from scouts around the country but this time we are in the middle of a devastating pandemic and we need to put the health of people first ahead of any other thing,’’ added Advocate Motlanthe.
