11 June 2021 – The SAFA/Hollywoodbets Super League has highlighted the quality of women’s football in the country over the past seven weeks and week eight will see two more matches broadcast live on SABC Sport this weekend.
The league has also realised massive viewership on all of the matches beamed live on SABC so far.
Log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will host First Touch Academy on Saturday, 12 June 2021 at Lucas Moripe Stadium at 15h00. This match will be live on SABC Sport and channel 124 on open view.
June 12 will also see five matches being polayed in different provinces with the highlight being the Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies versus JVW Ladies encounter at Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein. New comers JVW showed their title credentials by holding defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies to a 2-2 draw at Tsakane Stadium last week.
Ma-Indies Ladies will host Golden Ladies at Giyani Stadium, while bottom of the log Durban Ladies will travel to the Northern Cape to face rejuvinated Richmond United at Merino Stadium in De Aar.
Thunderbirds Ladies will host Coal City Wizards in East London’s’ Jan Smuts Stadium while Tsunami Queens host the University of the Western Cape at Itabazwe Sport Complex in Harrismith.
On Sunday 13 June 2021, University of Johannesburg travel to Tshwane for a Gauteng derby against the University of Tshwane. This match will be live on SABC Sport and channel 24 on open view.
