27 March 2021 – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the final AFCON qualifying match between Sudan and South Africa will kick off at 18h00.
There has been conflicting reports with some saying the match will kick off at 16h00.
However, in an official correspondence to both SAFA and the Sudan Football Federation, CAF confirmed that the match to take place at Khartoum International Stadium will start at 18h00.
‘’CAF has confirmed to us in writing that the match will kick off at 18h00,’’ said SAFA CEO, Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe.
Meanwhile, the entire travelling Bafana Bafana team and support staff have all been cleared after the latest Covid-19 results all came negative.
‘’We just received the team’s Covid-19 results and they are 100 percent clear. Everyone in camp tested negative,’’ said Dr Ngwenya
