11 November 2020 – Gangling midfielder Bongani Zungu arrived in Bafana Bafana camp on Wednesday afternoon to complete Coach Molefi Ntseki’s jigsaw puzzle ahead of the back-to-back Sao Tome AFCON qualifiers.

The first of the two Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday with the second scheduled for Nelson Mandela Bay on Monday.

The two matches will kick off at 21h00 and 15h00 respectively and all will be live on SABC 1.

Bafana Bafana coach Ntseki and his team are aware that they need to bag six points from the two matches to have one foot into the finals in Cameroon and not wait until the last minute for qualification.

This was the same point both the coach, his technical team and SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan underscored to the players during the week.

And judging from the way the players have responded at training, Bafana Bafana will take some stopping in their quest for Cameroon AFCON tournament.

United States based Kamohelo Mokotjo has arrived in camp while Zungu also arrived on Wednesday afternoon, the last expected player to do so. Dean Furman, Keagan Dolly and Percy Tau, all arrived on Tuesday and immediately got down to some serious work.

In some late replacements, Siyethemba Sithebe replaced the injured Bradley Grobler while rising star Siyabonga Dube was drafted in for Tshepo Rikhotso.

Bafana Bafana will have their last training session at Moses Mabhida Stadium late on Thursday before the much-anticipated AFCON encounter.

After Friday’s night game, Bafana Bafana will depart for Port Elizabeth on Saturday to start preparations for Monday’s 15h00 kick off encounter.
