25 March 2020 – France-based Bafana Bafana forward, Keagan Dolly, has urged football fans all over the world to keep safe as he continues to self isolate in France due to the coronavirus.

The former Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has been with Ligue 1 side Montpellier since 2017.

While he admits to becoming increasingly frustrated by his sudden inactivity, Dolly knows it is important for everyone to play their part in stemming the spread of Covid-19 by social distancing.

So far, France has been one of the hardest-hit countries with 16 689 cases confirmed on Monday.

Dolly told TimesLIVE: “Obviously it’s very sad to see the whole world come to a standstill because of this pandemic but the most important thing is to keep safe and keep those who are infected and affected in our prayers.

“I’m in self-isolation and it was okay for the first two days‚ but then you start getting bored and miss being at training with your team-mates.

“I’m really just trying to keep busy by playing video games or watching highlights from my previous games‚ and of course some classic games.”

He concluded: “All I want to tell the fans is to keep safe and stay at home‚ also to keep everyone who’s affected in their prayers!”
