19 March 2020 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) has noted and welcomes the decision of the PSL Board of Governors to suspend all matches in line with the Association’s call to do so.
SAFA raised two important matters:
- That all matches must be postponed and
- That the health and interest of the players and all persons involved be observed during this crisis period.
SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan, would once again want to thank the State President and the Minister of Sports for taking a proactive initiative to safeguard the interest and health of various football stakeholders.
