17 February 2020 – Fresh from officiating in one of the CAF biggest matches, the Super Cup in Doha, Qatar, whistleman Victor Gomes and assistant Zakhele Siwela have been appointed for a CAF Confederations Cup clash between El Nasr of Libya Hassania US Agadir of Morocco.
The fixture will be played on Sunday, 1 March 2020 at the Cairo Petro Sport Stadium
Gomes and Siwela were in charge of the highly-anticipated 2020 Super Cup match up between Espérance de Tunis from Tunisia, the 2018/19 CAF Champions League winners, and Zamalek from Egypt, the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup winners – a clash won 3-1 by the Egyptians.
Athenkosi Ndongeni, as the second assistant, as well as Eugine Mdluli who is the Fourth Official, will complete the all-South African team working in the Confederations Cup match.
