27 November 2019 – Interim head coach of the South African U-20 Men’s National Team, Helman Mkhalele, says they are under pressure to continue from where the previous Amajita squad left off.

Mkhalele will be leading the current team at the 2019 COSAFA Men’s Championship that will be held in Zambia from 4 – 14 December.

Amajita have won the last two editions of this tournament – lifting the trophy a record four times.

Mkhalele and his squad wasted no time in getting ready for the competition and held their first training on Tuesday, 26 November – they assemble for camp on Monday.

The former Jomo Cosmos, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana winger says they are going to Zambia to defend their trophy.

They are in Group B alongside Lesotho, Madagascar and Mauritius.
