17 October 2019 – The South African flag will be flying high in the CAF Confederations Cup following the appointment of Eugine Nkosinathi Mdlule as the referee in the clash between Asante Kotoko (Ghana) and Football Club de San Pedro (Ivory Coast).

The clash takes place on Sunday, 27 October 2019 at Baba Yaro Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana.

Kickoff is at 15h00.

Mdluli will be assisted by compatriots Athenkosi Ndongeni and Elphas Sitole, with Lebalang Martin Mokete from Lesotho as the Fourth Official.

This is Mdluli’s first year on the international panel, and Mdluli handled the final of the 2019 COSAFA Men’s Senior Challenge earlier this year in Durban. He was also the man in the middle for the 3rd/4thPlace play-off match at the All Africa Games in Morocco this year.

Ndongeni is on his second year on the panel and has already been on several CAF competition assignments alongside Victor Gomes, while Sitole is making his debut on the international scene.
