25 September 2019 – Bantwana Head Coach has made five changes to her starting eleven that will against Madagascar in their last group B match of the inaugural C0SAFA U17 Women’s Championship in Mauritius.

Karabo Mohale will earn her third international cap between the goals, while Mihle Lumko will earn her first cap at right back in place of Yolanda Nduli. Philisani Hlela will retain her place at left back.

Shakira O’Malley will captain the South African ship at centre back alongside debutant Olivia Hardie, who comes in for Ntateko Nkhuna.

The midfield will be anchor by Nelly Gamede who has proven to be solid in the heart of defensive, while Jolaine Mouers and Jade Leask will earn their second caps in attacking midfield.

Nabeelah Galant will keep her place at right wing with Inathi Makaya earning her first cap at left wing.

Goal poacher Oyisa Marhazi will be the lone striker upfront.

“We have made five changes to the starting eleven to make sure that we use all the players in the squad. We have made like for like substitutions and we believe that we will be able to still play the type of football we want;”said Dludlu.

“We want to ensure that all our players are on the same level because anything can happen from the semi finals, and we need them to have gained the experience to perform when called up.

Jessica Wade will not be considered for this match as we are allowing her to rest ahead of the knockout stage;” concluded Dludlu.

South Africa will face Madagascar at 15h00 local time (SA time 13h00), and will be looking to finish top of group B and will possibly face Zambia in the semi finals on Friday 27 September 2019.
