31 August 2019 – Nkomazi Ladies coach Patrick Ngomane is quietly confident his side can continue their winning streak in Sunday’s top-of-the-table Mpumalanga Sasol League Stream B clash against TK Stars Ladies at Thembeka Sports Ground at 13:00.

With a 100 percent record in their past four matches, the defending champions Nkomazi have climbed to the top of the table with just a single point separating them from second-placed TK Stars who have 17 points.

“One of those wins, which was the biggest one was away from home, and in those four games we’ve managed to keep four clean sheets as well. We’re peaking at the right time and I expect the girls to back themselves up after those wins and try to bring home the fifth one. I know it’s a top of the table clash at the moment, but at the same time, it’s three points up for grabs as usual” Ngomane said.

“Things that matter are those at the end of the season and not where we stand at the moment, so we know that these three points on Sunday can be very important so we’ll just focus on that.”

TK Stars coach Jobe Sibando said his side was well prepared for the clash.

“We’ve had quite an intense training session on Tuesday, we worked on some formulas so we’re all ready to go,” he said.

Super Strikers Ladies, who sit four points behind TK Stars in third place will travel to Thulamahashe New Stadium to take on Teka-Teka Ladies on Sunday, while Flamingo face TUT Ladies at TUT Ground.

Butterfly Ladies, who were held at home last week by Flamingo, will aim to end their unwanted run of three games without a win, they will be on the road to face Lekazi Ladies at Kanyamazane Stadium.
