22 August 2019 — South Africa’s National Under-20 (Amajita) defender Fezile Gcaba says he feels truly honoured to have been entrusted with the responsibility of leading his country in this year’s All Africa Games currently taking place in Rabat, Morocco.

The lean, towering Orlando Pirates centre-back stated that such an honour always comes with the responsibility of making the nation proud in any competition.

Gcaba admitted that they did not have the best of starts in this competition following their 2-1 defeat against Nigeria, however, added that they intend to apply themselves to the best of their abilities in their Group A match against against Burkina Faso.

This match will take place on Thursday (23 August) at the Stade Municipal El Mansouria in Rabat at 18h30 (SA time).

“We have had a look at our previous group match against Nigeria and we picked up which areas we need to improve on building up to this tie,” Gcaba said.

“We also had a look at our upcoming Group A opponents and we know what to expect from them. We are expecting a very tough match against Burkina Faso, however our technical staff has been working tirelessly to get us ready for this clash.

“We are truly looking forward to this match.”

Meanwhile, Amajita striker Katlego Cwinyane will not be available for selection following a knee injury he sustained in Amajita’s group tie against Nigeria.
