20 August 2019 – The South African Football Association (SAFA) coaching department is currently hosting a SAFA D License course for women which is funded by the national lottery.

The eight-day SAFA D License course kicked off this past Saturday, 17 August with 27 participants from five different regions of the Northern Cape in what has been a week of learning and information changing.

This will be the first time the course runs over eight days with the recent change from CAF from the original five days of the course.

Spearheaded by the Association’s HOD of Coaching Education, Mr Frans Mogashoa, Donald Mojaki and Willem Klink the course will see the successful candidates being awarded with an official and SAFA and CAF accredited entry level coaching certificate.

“This course forms part of a number of coaching courses that the Association has been rolling out across the country as part of the Association’s Vision 2022. Women’s football has grown tremendously with our women national teams qualifying for international competitions. Such courses can only contribute in continually improving the women’s game,” said SAFA Coaching HOD, Frans Mogashoa.
