13 August 2019 – De’ Scorpio are on an impressive run in the North West leg of the Sasol League. Leading the pack from 18 wins and two draws from 20 fixtures, the log leaders sit comfortably at the top with 56 points.
The gap was extended this past weekend with a 10-0 drubbing of Florentina away from home who were no match for the strong title contenders.
The log leaders have played three games more than second placed Royal Queens who picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over R.M Diamond Ladies this weekend. However, the gap is quite big to close for Queens who have some tough fixtures lined up in the next few weeks.
Queens face the unpredictable North West University who are desperate to move up the ladder. De’ Scorpio on the other hand are away to Clive United who lost 2-0 to Gopane Ladies who picked up their fourth win of the season.
Stilfonteing Real Hearts and Kraaipan Ladies languish at the bottom of the table and are yet to pick up a point this season.
