2 August 2019 – CHAN team coach David Notoane said his players are ready for Sunday’s return game against Lesotho at Dobsonville Stadium. (Kick off 15h00).

Notoane said the spirit in the camp was sky high and this has been boosted by the arrival of the new attacking trio of Itumeleng Shopane, Thabang Sibanyoni and Zakhele Lepasa from Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates respectively.

The CHAN team lost 3-2 to a full strength Lesotho side last Sunday in Maseru’s Setsoto Stadium but Notoane said he is looking forward to the return leg at home.

“We have reflected on our performance against Lesotho in the first leg, we have changed the team. We have brought in quality in the last third which we lacked in the first leg and I am excited now that we have a very good blend of youth and experience in the team and psychologically we are ready to go,” he said on Friday.

The CHAN head coach who also doubles as the u23 mentor said what makes him more excited about the return leg, is that the team has had a good week together preparing for the second leg.

“We now had seven days to prepare and work on various elements in terms of the game which we have done very well on how we want to defend and how we want to attack Lesotho. Hopefully, come Sunday all permutations will come to the party,” he said.

“The hunger, desire and focus and what I see in this team excites me and we are ready for Lesotho,” he concluded.
