2 August 2019 – South African U-20 Women’s National Team international, Noxolo Cesane, could not believe her ears when she heard she was called up to the Senior Women’s National Team (Banyana Banyana) for the 2019 COSAFA Women’s Championship in Port Elizabeth.
Little did she not know that she could be making her debut sooner that expected – and was even shaking on the bench when head coach Desiree Ellis asked her to get ready in the first clash of the tournament against Comoros.
Cesane came on as a second half substitute with the score at 6-0 – she enjoyed every minute of it, and she is hoping for more appearances.
